Within the framework of our responsibilities, the council issues all laws and decisions related to graduate and post-graduate studies, curricula and universities’ regulations as well as the faculty staff members’ affairs. It also determines the students’ yearly number and admission rules to different faculties. The council sets up a number of committees to assist in carrying out its duties, these committees include the Committee of Sectors, Committee of Accreditation of Academic Degrees, Committee of Academic Work Evaluation, Committee of Cultural Relations and Miscellaneous Committees.
Our vision is to enhance the higher education system to cope with the international standards. To make this vision true, the SCU signed a number of agreements with many international universities and institutions to achieve the cooperation between the Egyptian universities and the international academic community to exchange knowledge and experience in terms of the educational methodologies and the use of advanced technologies such as distance education and E-Learning.
